The world famous violinist Nigel Kennedy will present to the Bulgarian audience his Hendrix project in Sofia on May 10.
His visit is nearing and the impatience of his fans is growing as they are curious what to expect from his new project, which will offer interpretations of the legendary Jimi Hendrix.
Kennedy commented ahead of his visit to Bulgaria that whenever he plays Hendrix, he comes up with something unusual as the spirit of the famous guitarist necessitated provocation.
The musician admitted that he liked performing in Bulgaria because of the emotional audience in the country.
At his first concert in Bulgaria several years ago, Kennedy fulfilled the dream of a little boy by inviting him to the stage to play together.
The musician is in a constant movement, generating new ideas and is currently preparing to set a world record.
Kennedy will attempt to enter the Guinness World Records on May 1 by performing songs of Hendrix together with more than 5000 guitarists at a festival in the square of the Polish city of Wroclaw.
The violinist is recognised as the best contemporary interpreter of Bach and several days ago he performed in the cathedral of Eisenach, the hometown of the famous German composer.
The performance of Kennedy was on the occasion of the 330th anniversary of the birth of Johann Sebastian Bach.
One day before his concert in Sofia, Kennedy will attend the unveiling of the exhibition of his friend – the artist Rumen Rachev, which will take place on May 9 in the Nuance Gallery.
His concert in Sofia will take place on May 10 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) at 20:00 Bulgarian time.
Tickets for his concert can still be purchased from the network of Eventim, the stores Office 1 Superstore, OMV and Picadilly.
The prices of the tickets range from BGN 55 to 110 depending on the exact seating arrangement.
