Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin assured his Bulgarian counterpart Daniel Mitov, that the gas transit from Russa is not jeopardised, said Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry in a press statement.

The meeting between Mitov and Klimkin took place during the 69-th General Assembly of the UN, which takes place currently in New York.

Klimkin assured Mitov that his government was not worried about the gas deliveries from Russia in winter. “As a whole, the country has enough reserves,” Klimkin said. “There will be no problem with the gas transit unless Russia lowers the pressure in the pipeline.”

During their meeting Mitov and Klimkin also discussed the situation in Eastern Ukraine, the energy security of Central and Eastern Europe and Bulgaria's support for the European development of Ukraine.
