Bulgaria: Bulgaria's Producer Prices Up by 4.3% May 2012 Y/Y

The producer price index on Bulgaria's domestic market increased by 4.3% year on year in May 2012, according to the country's National Statistical Institute.

Domestic prices increased in the mining and quarrying industry (by 2.5%), in manufacturing (by 3.4%) and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 6.7%).

Price increases were registered in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 6.5%, tobacco products (by 6.2%), and textiles (by 5.9%).

The producer price index on Bulgaria's domestic market in May 2012 decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous month.

Domestic prices decreased in the mining and quarrying industry (by 1.2%), in manufacturing (by 1.1%) and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 0.6%) as compared to April 2012.
