Russian top security official has announced that the suicide bomber who killed 36 and injured over 180 people at the Moscow's Domodedovo airport was under the influence of drugs at the time of the attack.

On Friday, the Federal Investigative Committee announced on their website that the bomber was identified. He was 22-year-old man from the North Caucasus, the BBC reported.

Spokesman Vladimir Markin said the man's name would not be revealed until the investigation is complete.

However. Russia's LifeNews reported that DNA tests showed that the attacker was actually 22-year-old Magomed Evloev, accounting student.

According to the publication, he left home in September 2010 and told his parents he was going to work at the Krasnodar Krai, one of the 83 Russian federal subjects. His parents have not heard from him since then.

On Thursday, Federal Security Service chief Alexander Bortnikov said that an autopsy of the bomber showed "a huge amount of highly potent drugs and psychotropic substances", ABC News reported.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee said the attack aimed "first and foremost" foreign citizens.

At least seven foreigners were among the killed by the attack on January 24. They were from Britain, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

There were also 16 Russians among the dead. The remaining 12 have not been identified yet.
