Temperatures in Bulgaria soared well above 20 degrees C Sunday, with nine locations registering temperature records.
The highest temperature Sunday was recorded in Veliko Tarnovo, at 27.2 degrees Centigrade, as reported by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Records were set in cities such as Dobrich, Montana, Sliven and Kazanlak.
