Atmospheric pressure is expected to decline and settle close to the typical levels for this time of year. Overnight conditions will remain mostly clear, with light winds across most of the country, while the Danube Plain will experience a moderate west-northwesterly breeze. Nighttime temperatures will range between 6°C and 11°C, with around 6°C forecast for Sofia.
During Tuesday, cloud cover will be changeable, increasing in the afternoon when it will often become significant. Over the Rhodope Mountains, conditions will favor the development of cumulonimbus clouds, bringing short but occasionally intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. Winds from the west will intensify, becoming moderate to strong and gusty. Daytime temperatures will vary between 15°C and 20°C, reaching up to around 24°C in southwestern parts of the country, while Sofia is expected to see highs of about 18°C.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for strong winds in six regions: Sliven, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Vratsa, Montana and Vidin. In these areas, gusts may reach up to 24 meters per second.
In mountainous areas, cloudiness will also be variable but frequently dense. The Rhodope region in particular will see the formation of rain-bearing clouds, with localized showers and thunderstorm activity. Winds will be strong from the northwest, reaching storm intensity at higher elevations. Temperatures will be significantly lower, around 11°C at 1,200 meters and near 4°C at 2,000 meters altitude.
Along the Black Sea coast, skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy. Light rain is expected in some northern coastal areas during the morning hours. Winds will be moderate, initially from the north-northeast before shifting to west-southwest later in the day. Maximum temperatures along the coast will range between 12°C and 15°C, while sea water temperatures will be between 11°C and 13°C. Sea conditions are forecast to remain relatively calm, with waves around 1 to 2 on the Beaufort scale.
