Ex Sofia District Governor Indicted
Prosecutors have filed the indictment of former Sofia District Governor Veselin Penev with charges of abeyance with the Sofia City Court.

Sofia Prosecutor’s Office has started a check of the deal with the Tsarski konyushni property. The Prosecutor’s Office has received the signal submitted by BSP deputies Zhelyo Boychev and Kaloyan Pargov against the deal concluded by the Sofia District Governor.
The Prosecutor’s Office has also received the report of the General Inspectorate with the Council of Ministers sent by the PM which includes the results of the check carried out by the district authority. Both the signal and the report contain assertions of irregular activities regarding the deal.
As reported earlier, Sofia District Governor Veselin Penev sold a property of 7,328 sq m in the centre of the capital for the low price of BGN 658,870 to Evrotransbild which owns 16% of the property.
The check will be carried out in the shortest possible time, assured the Prosecutor’s Office.
