The Sofia Breathes urban culture festival will surprise its guests this August as organizers say its latest edition will be held on different streets than those used before.
Every Sunday of August for the past six years, a different venue would be closed to traffic in the afternoon, turning into a pedestrian area for hours and giving way to art performances and vendors stalls with food, beverages and handicraft items.
The seventh edition will explore new sites, using sections of the following streets:
August 07 - Ivan Denkoglu Str (not far from Sofia Court House);
August 14 - Moskovska Str (which begins from the square with a monument to Vasil Levski);
August 21 - Knyaz Aleksandar I Blvd;
August 28 - Aleksandar Stamboliyski Str.
There will be a strong emphasis on culture, but the events will involve five main "themes" dividing the festival venues into five areas - creativity, leisure, bazaar, sports, and one for kids, organizers say.
