Bulgaria: Euroins Insurance Group To Acquire Greece-based Life Insurance Co

Euroins Insurance Group (EIG), a subsidiary of financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria, has reached an agreement to acquire a Greece-based life insurance company.

The Greece-based company is a subsidiary of French Credit Agricole.

The deal, which is to be approved by the respective regulatory authorities, may be finalized by the final quarter of 2015.

The acquisition is in line with EIG’s strategy to expand and consolidate its position as a leading insurance company in the region and to diversify its life insurance portfolio, according to a media statement of the company.

After the successful conclusion of the deal EIG will own companies in 5 countries and will generate revenues exceeding EUR 350 M, according to preliminary forecasts, as cited by money.bg.
