From the middle of September Wizz Air will start operating flights from Sofia to Bari, Cologne, Geneva, Munich and Naples, daily Dnevnik reports.
The flights to Bari and Cologne will start on September 14 and will be operated twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
The flights to Naples and Munich (Memmingen) will become operational from September 16 and will be conducted twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
In addition, Wizz Air increases the frequency of flights to the following destinations – London Luton, Bologna, Larnaca, Dubai and Malta.
This will not only increase the opportunities for Bulgarians traveling abroad, but will also attract more tourists visiting the country on city breaks, cultural tourism or ski holidays.
Another Airbus A320 will join the air fleet, which services flights from Sofia, in the autumn and several other A321 airplanes have been ordered.
The capacity for transporting passengers from Sofia increases to 1.2 million after the company registered an increase of 15.8 % in the number of its passengers in the past year.
