"The reason I was removed is that I am Ivan Genov. I am not a political person, I hold no membership in a party. I am an expert," Genov told public broadcaster BNT.
He denied that his work on the project with Westinghouse to build the plant's Unit 7 could be underpinning BEH's move.
Genov assumed the office after the government of Plamen Oresharski was formed in 2013. He also held the position in 2007-2009, but was replaced by Dimitar Angelov during the tenure of conservative GERB.
