It will be difficult for Bulgarian producers to sell their fruits and vegetables this year, interim Agriculture Minister Vasil Grudev argued.
Vasil Grudev also announced his ministry had halted public procurement procedures launched by predecessors, as the Health Ministry did on Thursday, though he refused to enter into details.
He commented on the aftermath of Russia ban on food imports from the EU in an interview with NOVA TV.
Grudev made clear the state would make up for the losses and would also seek EU compensations for indirect losses.
"We will demand as much as it is necessary. We will insist on a compensation tied to the losses from the price drop," he said.
