The car and the entrance to the home of Samuil Popov, mayor of the village of Bistritsa, were deliberately set on fire in the early hours of the morning, shortly after 1:30 a.m.

A large bear scared a family travelling in their car in the Yundola area above the town of Velingrad in the Rhodopes, reports Darik radio.
The husband said the bear jumped in front of the car shortly after midnight on Thursday when the family was driving back from a vacation in Greece.
The bear also got scared and ran away in the woods, according to the reports.
“It was a very large bear,” the driver said. “We all got scared, the children especially.” He added that this is his first encounter with a bear even though he often drives along this road.
