Bulgaria’s Tsvetana Pironkova and Serbian Ana Ivanovic will play the opening match of the WTA Tournament of Champions on Tuesday in Sofia.

Pironkova is participating with a wild card, as a representative of the host country, despite being 119th in the world ranking. Her opponent today, is ranked 15th.

Pironkova and Ivanovic have played each other twice, with each taking one victory. Their last encounter was in the 2012 US Open, where the Serbian won 6:0, 6:4.

The match will begin at 5 PM Bulgarian time in Arena Armeec. It will be followed by 2 more fixtures, Maria Kirilenko versus Alize Cornet, and Simona Halep against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
