Gunfire has been reported late Thursday evening in Bulgaria's western city of Pernik.
The Bulgarian Interior Ministry informs the incident happened around 10:30 pm in a coffee shop and bar in downtown Pernik.
A 37-year-old man has sustained a gun wound in the leg. He is listed in the local hospital and his life is not in danger.
According to the available information, another man has walked inside the bar and opened fire with a handgun. Police say he was drunk, but decline additional details for the time being.
The scene of the gunfire is sealed and police are searching the premises and interrogating witnesses.
