Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetlin Yovchev has ordered two probes into the fire and explosions that occurred in a train composition of propan butan-filled gas cisterns near Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Varna on Wednesday.

The probes will be carried out by the Inspectorate at the Interior Ministry and the Economic Police.

A total of 12 people, including seven firefighters, were injured in Wednesday's incident. Eleven remain in hospital, with one of them in critical condition.

The fire erupted at around 4 pm EET on Wednesday, followed by two explosions.

Firefighters extinguished the fire at approximately 11:30 pm Wednesday. The incident has posed no danger for the environment, according to Bulgaria's Environment Ministry.
