Bulgarian high school students have achieved the highest score in the international Informatics Olympiad held in Tata, Hungary between July 7 and 13.
The news was reported Friday by the Bulgarian Education Ministry.
The contest included teams from 11 countries – Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
The Bulgarian students grabbed 2 gold and 2 silver medals.
The gold went to high school seniors Yordan Chaparov from the city of Yambol and Rumen Hristov from the city of Shumen, the silver - to eight grader Hristo Venev from the capital Sofia, and to sophomore, Georgi Georgiev, also from Sofia.
