An official delegation from China visited Monday the Spezialized Unit for Combatting Terrorism at Bulgaria's Ministry of Interior.

The delegation was headed by Wang Lequan, member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.

The Chinese guests were welcomed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior Chief Secretary Kalin Georgiev and of the anti-terrorism unit head Kiril Dimov.

"It is an honor for me to present you to one of the most elite units of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior," said Georgiev, emphasizing China's great history and the long tradition of friendly relations in Bulgaria.

Dimov presented to the delegation headed by Wang the history and the structure of the Bulgarian police's Spezialized Unit for Combatting Terrorism.

Officers from the unit demonstrated to the Chinese guests their specialized skills and techniques at the unit's training ground in the town of Vranya.

Wang Lequan thanked the Bulgarian hosts for the warm welcome and for the sharing of experience, which he said he hoped to intensify between China and Bulgaria.
