Two goals in the first nine minutes sealed a 2:0 victory for Bulgaria's under-21 international football squad away against Austria, lifting the team into second place in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 10.

Momchil Tsvetanov and Rosen Kolev netted two early goals in the game that saw Bulgaria's youngsters rise within two points of the Netherlands, who have a game in hand.

Austria, who are now fourth and have not won any of their last three games, will face Bulgaria once again next Tuesday.

Bulgaria took the lead with their first attack, Tsvetanov giving the visitors the perfect start when he turned in a left-wing cross from Aleksandar Tsvetkov.

It was Rosen Kolev that scored the second goal with a powerful header in the 9th minute after a cross from Tsvetanov.
