A bomb threat in a passenger craft of the Turkish airlines stirred jitters in Istanbul Wednesday evening, according to Turkish media.

The incident happened around 9 pm on board of a Boeing 737 on a regular flight from Oslo to Istanbul.

The craft was flying over Bulgarian territory when one of the passengers left his seat and threatened he was about the blow off the plane with a bomb if it did not return to Oslo. The man attempted to enter the pilots' cabin. Several other passengers were able to subdue the attacker.

The plane then landed at the "Ataturk" airport in Istanbul without further problems. The man was arrested. The craft had 60 passengers and 7 crew. Police say the assailant, identified as Cuma yassar, had mental problems. They did not find any weapons or explosives on him.
