Experts from the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency will test on Friday the readiness of the rehabilitated Daskalovo road junction, which is part of the Lyulin Highway near Sofia.

The experts will check the ring gear and the road links to the Daskalovo road junction.

Bulgaria's Minister on Regional Development, Rosen Plevneliev, has stated that the rehabilitated road junction will probably be open for testing on Friday afternoon, while the official opening will be Saturday.

The Daskalovo road junction will open the traffic to the winter resorts in the Pirin mountain and to Greece.

The Road Infrastructure Agency has announced that it will open two lanes of the road to Sofia, another two lanes on the road from Sofia to the city of Pernik towards the border checkpoint with the Bulgarian-Macedonian border and two more lanes from Pernik to the village of Vladaya.
