The police in the southern Bulgarian town of Assenovgrad have arrested 2 individuals on charges of loan sharking, the Interior Directorate in the second largest city of Plovdiv informs Monday.

The special police operation under the same name "Loan Sharks" took place in Assenovgrad's Roma district where four addresses have been raided.

Police confiscated lists with debtors' names, drivers' licenses and gold jewelry with the latter having tags with names of people who pawned them, along with large amounts of money – BGN, USD and EUR.
