The Netherlands beat Uruguay 3:2 in a dramatic first semi-final of the 2010 FIFA World Cup football tournament in South Africa.

The Ducth lead the game with Van Bronckhorst scoring the first goal in the 18th minute.

Then, Uruguay’s Forland evened the game in the 41st minute.

In the second half-time, the Dutch Sneijder scored the second goal for his team in the 70th minute and three minutes later his teammate Robben scored the third goal.

However, Uruguay’s Maxi Pereira surprisingly scored a second goal for his team in the 90th minute.

Uruagay could not take advantage of the additional time and the game ended 3:2 for the Dutch team.

The Netherlands have reached the World Cup finals for the third time. Who will be their rival in the 2010 World Cup will be determined Wednesday when Germany faces Spain in the second semi-final of the football tournament.
