Russia will imminently resume gas delivery to Belarus in their full volume, according to Gazprom's CEO Aleksei Miller.

Belarus has paid all its debts to the Russian company and there are no longer reasons do discontinue transmission, according to Russian sources.

This announcement comes in the wake of recent spate between Russia and Belarus about unsettled dues on natural gas between the two countries. The dispute recalled fresh memories of the Russia-Ukraine gas crisis in the winter of 2009.

Earlier this week Belarusian president Aleksandr Lukashenko announced that his country would halt transit of Russian gas through its territory, threatening the supply for Lithuania, Poland and Germany, as well as for the Russian Kaliningrad region.

Later Thursday morning it was revealed that the gas dispute between the two countries has not been fully resolved yet.
