The controversial Bulgarian journalist, Bobbi Tsankov, who was murdered in the beginning of January, had pleaded guilty in 12 cases involving 90 fraudulent schemes.

The information was revealed through a probe of the Inspectorate at Bulgaria's Supreme Judicial Council.

Tsankov was gunned down in broad daylight in downtown Sofia on January 5.

The probe at the Sofia City Court and the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office had been initiated over media publications that the slow justice process in Bulgaria had spared Tsankov a guilty verdict.

The probe established that 13 cases for fraud have been filed against Tsankov; 12 have ended and 1 is pending. Tsankov had admitted guilt in all 12 cases.
