The Prosecution had not yet pressed official charges against Krasimir Marinov and Stefan Bonev, who were detained during a police operation after the murder of controversial journalist, Bobi Tsankov.

The information was reported for the media by Sofia District Prosecutor, Nikolay Kokinov.

Marinov aka the Big Marguin and Bonev aka Sako were arrested hours after the murder of Tsankov, who was gunned down in broad daylight in a busy boulevard in Sofia Tuesday. Tsankov was known for his ties with the mafia and for publications revealing the dark secrets of the underworld.

The police is still on the lookout for Marinov's brother – Nikolay aka the Little Marguin. The Marguins and Sako are said to be some of Bulgaria's top crime figures.

Earlier Wednesday, the authorities disproved Tuesday evening reports that the Little Marguin has also been detained.

Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, further informed that the information from the investigation is still being analyzed in order to press official charges against the Big Marguin and Bonev and to keep them behind bars for 72 hours.

All through the night, the police searched the central office of the Bul Ins insurance company in the Lozenets Quarter, and the Tsarsko Selo hotel complex in the Simeonovo Quarter, which are both owned by the Marguin Brothers. According to unofficial information, Krasimir Marinov had been arrested in the fitness center of a popular Sofia hotel.

Sako's lawyer, Vera Bratoevska, told the Bulgarian news agency BTA Wednesday that she had not been contacted by her client and the investigation and had no idea why Bonev had been arrested.
