More Arrests in Bulgaria Targeting Vote-Buying Before the April Elections

Sofia City Prosecutor, Nikolay Kokinov, has reported that Bulgarian police are still searching for 2 of the 4 underworld bosses, earlier reported to have been arrested for allegedly being involved in the murder of controversial radio host, Bobi Tsankov.
Kokinov confirmed that Stefan Bonev aka Sako and the ‘Big’ Marguin brother, Krasimir Marinov, had both been arrested and are being held for 72 hours of questioning. He however denied press reports that Dimitar Vuchev aka Dembi and the ‘Little’ Marguin brother, Nikolay Marinov, had been arrested and said police are still searching for them.
On Tuesday night, in a special operation, the police searched the central office of the Bul Ins insurance company in the Lozenets Quarter, and the Tsarsko Selo hotel complex in the Simeonovo Quarter, which are both owned by the Marguin Brothers.
Tsankov was gunned down in broad daylight in a busy district in downtown Sofia Tuesday. He was known by his alleged ties with crime bosses and began lately writing stories about them. His book The Secrets of the Mobsters was published last November.
