A mission of the European Commission, together with the Bulgarian National Audit Office will make an audit of the Bulgarian "Agriculture" Fund in the next few days.
The EC mission will check projects under the program funded by the European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development.
Meanwhile, the National Audit Office will check the work of the previous management of the fund.
The EC mission will be working in the fund until the end of the week and will be inspecting projects for modernization of the farms until July 2009. The inspection aims to find out whether the rural development program has the same violations as were found in the SAPARD program.
The mission will also check whether the paying agency has supervised the correct administration of the Public Procurement Procedures Law by the different municipalities that have applied with SAPARD projects.
The EC will present its conclusion about the work of the rural development program in Bulgaria in two months.
