Seven samples from suspicious swine flu A(H1N1) cases are currently being tested in Bulgaria, according to the National Center for Infectious Diseases.

The other 3 samples that were tested Wednesday, all from people who have recently traveled abroad, have proven negative.

There are no new confirmed cases of the swine flu in the country, Health Minister, Evgeni Zhelev, announced during his visit to the city of Stara Zagora Thursday, adding the Ministry was doing everything possible to contain the situation.

The Health Minister said that all suspicious cases were checked and were divided in 3 categories: possible, likely and proven.

Bulgaria's first confirmed swine flu patient was discharged from the hospital in Veliko Tarnovo early Thursday morning.
