Bulgaria has won gold in the rhythmic gymnastics at the prestigious Grand Prix in Thiais, France.

Bulgaria's rhythmic gymnastics group team won the gold after a close to perfect performance that impressed the expert judges with its elegance and rhythm.

Vladislava Tancheva, Galina Tancheva, Kristina Rangelova, Stela Sultanova, Boryana Yordanova and Mihaela Maevska performed with five hoops three ribbons and two ropes and scored 48.200 points.

"All the present judges and coaches commended our girls," President of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Maria Gigova said.

They left their star coach Iliana Raeva a proud man and now look forward to a year of success on the rhythmic gymnastics Grand Prix circuit.
