Bulgarian National Bank Warns of Scam Calls Offering Fake Loans

Telephone call prices in Bulgaria are going down beginning July 1 2009, the Bulgarian Communication Regulator announced Friday.
The Regulator has taken the European Commission's (EC) recommendations into account.
The prices for calls from stationary to mobile pones are going down by 14% and those between mobile phones - by 8%.
In times of slower traffic, the stationary to mobile phone calls will be 24% cheaper while those between mobiles phones - 10,5%. In addition, in the beginning of 2010, there will be a new 11% reduction, while beginning July 1 2010, the prices during times of heavy traffic will go down an additional 36%. The final price reduction will end up being between 42% and 56%.
The Chair of the Communications Regulation Commission, Veselin Bozhkov, said that he expected some to voice opinions saying the prices could be slashed even more, but added that the EC had recommended to take into account the interests of the phone operators as well, especially in times of financial crisis.
