Bulgaria's request for EUR 2 B loan for the construction of the Belene Nuclear Plant is: a smart and practical move as it will secure badly needed funding for a crucial project at beneficial terms    65 votes.   a wrong move which allows Russia to expands its energy and geopolitical influence in the Balkans and the EU and makes Bulgaria more dependent on Russia    47 votes.   no big deal as a potential Russian loan would not be enough to make much progress on the Belene NPP, and even when the plant is completed it would not help boost Russian influence    14 votes.
