Two people were injured Sunday in an armed robbery from a cash-in stand in Sofia.
It is feared that at least BGN 50,000 (EUR 25,000) has been stolen in the incident.
According to initial information, three unidentified men with masks on their faces attacked a cash-collecting van of the Bulgarian Sports Lotto at the Bogotitsa Street, in the Lagera neighbourhood, at around 9 p.m.
After firing out, the assailants managed to snatch three bags containing sums cashed in during the day at the local state lotto station.
Saturday is the day before drawing the "balls of success" of the sports lotto. The robbery might have been prompted by the hefty jackpot exceeding now BGN 1 M.
Police has blocked the capital in an immediate want of the attackers running under the code name "Typhoon".
