Bulgargaz Forecasts 5-6% Dip in Natural Gas Prices for May
Bulgargaz, the leading public gas supplier in Bulgaria, anticipates a notable decrease in the price of natural gas for the upcoming month of May. According to Lyudmila Vitanova
In 2014-2017, 5 056.3 GWh of energy was saved in Bulgaria, accounting for 60.7% of the national target for energy savings by 2020. The information comes from the annual report on the implementation of the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency for 2017, approved by the Government.
The achieved energy savings result from the implementation of energy saving measures in all economic sectors. This contributes directly to boosting the competitiveness of the economy and stimulates economic growth and the creation of new jobs.
The achieved energy savings reduce the demand for conventional fuels, which are imported. The report also states that many of the measures set out in the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan can only be evaluated after the end of its realisation. It is expected that the actual effect of the implementation of the plan will be higher than the one reported to date, announced the press centre of the Council of Ministers.
