Bulgaria MPs to Hear Security, Law Enforcement Bodies over Turkey Coup

Intelligence and security services, police and foreign ministry officials are to brief Bulgaria's Parliament on the situation in Turkey following the attempted coup d'etat last week.
Representatives of the Interior Ministry, the diplomatic service, the State Intelligence Agency (SIA, formerly known as National Intelligence Service), and the State Agency for National Security (DANS) are to attend a session of the Internal Affairs Committee.
This comes after Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov voiced his concern over the escalation of violence and "revanchism" in Turkey as Ankara is conducting purges within the military and judiciary, with thousands dismissed and arrested.
