Bulgaria strongly condemns the murder of the prominent Russian opposition leader and former Deputy PM Boris Nemtsov, the top Bulgarian diplomat Daniel Mitov has said.
Mitov has extended his condolence to Nemtsov's relatives in a statement dated Saturday morning.
"We expect that Russian authorities will carry out an independent investigation and the perpetrators of this criminal act will be indicted," Mitov went on.
Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on Thursday evening, briefly before midnight local time, while crossing a bridge in the view of the Kremlin.
