Busted Bulgarian 'Clerk' Released on Bail

The employee of the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Energy, who was arrested early Wednesday morning, is going to be released on a BGN 10 000 bail.
The information was announced by the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office.
The man, E. I., 32, was detained during the special police operation codenamed “The Clerk” over charges of abuse of power for personal gains. The employee, allegedly, was part of a scheme to manipulate grant applications for the EU Competitiveness and Innovation Program. He has worked for the Ministry since 2003.
