The Strong Earthquake in Taiwan Caused Equipment Damage at TSMC Chipmaker
The intense earthquake that rattled Taiwan early Wednesday, led to equipment damage at the semiconductor giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)
There are no reports of Bulgarian nationals injured in the 5,0 magnitude earthquake, which was registered Wednesday afternoon in Kosovo, Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry announced, citing information from the country's embassy in Pristina.
The building of the embassy has not suffered any damages, all its officials and the members of their families are safe and sound, the ministry said.
The epicenter of the tremor was registered at 46 kilometers West of Pristina, 26 kilometers Southwest of Kosovska Mitrovica and 220 kilometers West of Sofia.
The earthquake was felt lightly in the Bulgarian capital but there is no information about casualties or material damage.
Meanwhile, Bulgaria's “Dnevnik” cites the Serbian Б92 radio reporting that the shock was felt strongly in Serbia and building damage is to be expected.
