Bulgaria's Prime Minister-to-be, Boyko Borisov, declared Monday that new elections would definitely provide his party with parliamentary majority.

"New elections and we will then have 150 Members of the Parliament. This is something everyone, who is trying to become more interesting at my expense, should know," the leader of the July 5 elections' winner, Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party said referring to claims that he had invited a member of the conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party to join the new cabinet.

On Sunday, the RZS leader, Yane Yanev, insisted that Borisov had made personal phone calls and sent text messages to an unnamed RZS member to ask him to become a minister in his cabinet.

The GERB leader spoke during the official Monday opening of a new kindergarten facility in Sofia's Obeliya district, reiterating he was not afraid to form a solely GERB government despite the lack of parliamentary majority.

"My job is to build and give to people while the Parliament must deal with the negotiations. And I am not going to give any explanations," Borisov said, stressing early elections would be held in case the speculations about new cabinet appointments were to continue.

Borisov confirmed the latest two nominations, announced earlier Monday in an interview for the Bulgarian TV channel Nova Televizia: Margarita Popova for Justice Minister and Nikolay Mladenov as defense Minister.
