Bulgarian teen football fans beat up two workers from the famous "Balkanski" Circus Wednesday evening.
A group of 10-12 teenage boys attacked the two Roma men around 10.30 pm in the Sofia down town quarter, Zona B-5, where the circus is currently settled.
Five circus workers headed for the nearby Mall to have dinner after finishing work. The teenagers, on their way back from the Bulgaria-Cyprus football game, attacked them at the main entrance of the Mall. Three of the workers managed to run away, but the other two were caught by the group and beaten with metal and wooden bats.
The two men were immediately taken to the Institute for Emergency Medicine "Pirogov" in Sofia. Medical exams showed no serious injuries.
"The workers are of Roma origin, but are good men", president and producer of the circus, Alexandar Balkanski, explained.
