An impressive air show marked the the 102nd anniversary of Bulgaria’s Air Force at Sofia Vrazhdebna airport on Saturday.
Themed "This is Us", the show featured aerobatics, parachute jumps, dogfights, rescue operation, airborne landings and other demonstrations. Breathtaking moments could be seen all the time, with Bell 206 helicopters hovering low in circles in a sort of air waltz at the beginning and Maj Gen Rumen Radev dazzling the crowd of over 20 000 with a stunning manoeuvre on a Mig-29 at the end.

Bulgaria's Air Force will host the air show “This Is Us”, celebrating the 102-th anniversary of the country's air force, on October 11 at the Sofia airport in Vrazhdebna.
The show will present the Mig-21 and 29 fighters, the Su-25 attack aircraft, the transport aircraft РС-12 and С27J, training aircraft, and helicopters Cougar AS 532 AL, Bell 206 and Mi-17.
The air show will start at 1 PM and will feature aerobatics, parachute jumps, dogfights, rescue operation, airborne landings and other demonstrations.
The Air Force warns the Sofia residents that the stationing of aircraft and training flights at the Sofia Airport will start on October 8, when air craft will be flying low over the city and there is no cause for alarm.
