A unique video and photo-etching exhibition, inspired by images of old buildings and young people in Bulgaria, was opened Tuesday in Sofia's Cervantes Centre to delight modern art maniacs.

The author, Eva Davidova, says she aimed at presenting her ideas about the future using visions from the past. She has managed to vividly present the relation between space and its inhabitants.

"Two main features are combined in my works - places and buildings, constructed in 70s and 80s and the youngsters, born after the communist regime collapse and forced to live in the old conditions," Davidova says.

The base of the exhibition series, called "Antropospaces II - the Oblivion", was laid in 2005, when the author returned to Bulgaria for a while. Now, two years later, the project has been extended.

Eva Davidova was born in Bulgaria but grew up in Spain. She has opened exhibitions in museums and art galleries in Madrid, Barcelona, London, etc.

The artist's exhibition in Sofia has been organized by Bulgaria's Culture Ministry and the leading PR company M3 Communications Group, Inc.
