Australian TV naturalist Irwin's last moment has been reportedly caught on camera.

Irwin, also known as the Crocodile Hunter, was killed early Monday by a stingray while filming an underwater documentary on Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The details surrounding the incident are conflicting. The initial reports claimed that Irwin had pulled the venom-coated barb from his chest before he died.

His manager John Stainton however slammed the information as rumours although he said he had not watched the tape as previously reported.

Queensland state police have now taken the tape to be used in the investigation.

One of Irwin's cameramen, who was also on the reef at the time of the accident, said stingrays attack only when they feel threatened. Crocodile Hunter got attacked because he was too close to the fish and it acted defensive.
