Fiorentina has excluded Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov from the squad for Wednesday's clash with Sampdoria over his critical public statements.
Coach Cesare Prandelli was cited as saying that Bojinov, 19, had a lot to improve in his play.
"I want to help him, but he has to be convinced that he wants to stay," Prandelli said as quoted by Sportinglife on Monday.
The sanction came after teen star Bojinov announced he was willing to leave the Florence club, where he has not seen much playing time lately.
Meanwhile, Bojinov told a Bulgarian radio station that he would wave goodbye to the violas in just two or three days.
Inter, Bayern Munich and Hamburger are the three possible destinations, the young star believes.
He joined Fiorentina a year ago in a shocker EUR 13 M transfer that made him the most expensive Bulgarian footballer ever.
But an injury kicked him out of the pitch soon after, and his return to play showed worsened shape. That left the youngster with few first team opportunities.
