The coach of the Bulgarian national football team reportedly got cross with Italy's Lecce, who banned striker Valeri Bojinov from joining the Bulgarian side in a December 28 match.
The Italians wanted young Bojinov well rested for an encounter with Milan next January.
Bulgarian media claimed that the news infuriated coach Hristo Stoitchkov, who is otherwise very fond of the teenage sharpshooter. According to press reports, Stoitchkov threatened Bojinov to kick him out of the national team, but then the froward player stopped answering his mentor's phone calls.
The coach is still to name a replacement for the friendly in Valencia next week.
