Pakistan successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable ballistic missile, military officials said, just a week after India's new government took office. The firing of the Hatf V surface-to-surface missile, witnessed by Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamil at an undisclosed location, was Pakistan's first such test since March. A military statement said the test was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to improve Pakistan's missile systems.
