`The issue of NATO expansion is not as important as the creation of a community that shares common values,` Bulgarian President Stoyanov said at a news conference, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio. President Stoyanov added that he is to reiterate his arguments in support of this thesis at the Vilnius Group countries summit on 5 October. The summit will take place in Sofia. Stoyanov explained that it is important to create a community of states, sharing the same values. Such an alliance, in addition to NATO, the EU, and other international organizations will make easier the unification of the efforts against global terrorism. According to President Stoyanov, the issue of NATO expansion will not be discussed at the meeting on October 5. However, in his address, he will point out that the 11 September events must serve as a catalyst for reassessing and reviewing the expansion issue.
