Israel Helicopters Fire Gaza Targets

World | January 6, 2003, Monday // 00:00

14 missiles were fired by Israeli helicopters into targets in Gaza city, Palestinian sources said. At least four people were injured, electricity in the area was cut. The Israeli army refused to comment on the reports. The airstrikes came just hours after two suicide bombers struck in Tel Aviv, in one of the deadliest such incidents since the beginning of the second Intifada. The first bomber blew up his charges in a busy restaurant, the second two minutes later in the middle of a panicking crowd. They died, as did at least 22 others, and at least 100 people were injured.
