Germany Takes Bold Step: Partially Liberalizes Cannabis Market with New Legislation
Germany embarks on a groundbreaking shift in drug policy as it implements new legislation aimed at partially liberalizing the cannabis market
The residents of California approved on Tuesday the legal use by adults of marijuana for personal pleasure.
Thus, the most populous state will be open to the prosperous market for commercial cannabis.
At 90% of processed ballots, 56% have voted “yes”.
There was a similar vote in four other states. There was a “yes” vote in Nevada, while Massachusetts became the first state in New England to approve the change.
Arizona, however, voted “no”, while the results in Maine were not clear by Wednesday evening.
The forecast is that marijuana for medicinal purposes will be legalised in Florida, Arkansas, North Dakota and Montana.
Before this vote, marijuana was legal – in one form or another (for medicinal purposes, for pleasure or for both) – in 25 states.
