The Central Election commission has announced the countries where election sections will be opened in the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The list includes 98 countries. The largest number of sections will be opened in the USA – 5, followed by Russia and Turkey with 4 each and Germany with 3 sections. There will be one or two sections in the remaining countries.

For the opening of sections outside the diplomatic and consular missions, there is the option of filing an electronic declaration for voting outside the country on the webpage of CEC. The vote declaration may also be filed in written form in person or by post to a Bulgarian consular or diplomatic mission.

The deadline for filing the declaration to vote outside the country is October 11, 2016 (included) and the deadline for declarations filed electronically is 24:00 hrs Bulgarian time.
